Something I found: Nice browser extension to display tweets on web pages

Browser extensions are little bits of software that add functionality to your browsing experience.  Not widely supported in Internet Explorer so if you are using that browser, then this post is probably not for you.

Here's a neat one I stumbled across in Week 3 of my web 2.0 adventure.

As I have no image space left on my blog, I posted this photo to my twitpic account http://twitpic.com/2by6ca
It's a screen shot from Lydia's blog displaying twitter icons next to names she mentions in her blog post. As their website states:
This simple yet powerful utility automatically brings you recent tweets from whoever (or whatever) is mentioned in the web pages you're looking at.  Watch for Twitter icons inserted next to names and mouse over them to see firsthand updates
It's another way that you can read / benefit from tweets without having to necessarily participate in that community (if that's what you choose to do) - as Vanessa said in Knowledge Management Technologies class last week "sometimes they are just funny".

Available for Firefox Chrome Safari browsers.

My Rating 3.5 out of 5
